Statement regarding FIH Hockey Pro League match postponements

Chris Griffiths celebrates for Great Britain's men in the FIH Pro League
England Hockey would like to offer an update regarding the FIH Hockey Pro League 2020:

-This evening (Fri 13 March), the International Hockey Federation and competing nations decided to postpone all FIH Hockey Pro League matches scheduled to take place before 15 April.

-Great Britain's men and women already had no scheduled games until late April, but England Hockey will now consider the likely impact of this decision, as well as opposition teams' ability to travel, and the continued effects of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

-We will also consider the continued impact on England Hockey's league finals at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in early April.

-We will communicate further in the early part of next week (commencing 16 March).

-Ticket buyers and other stakeholders may wish to note, with regards to the FIH Hockey Pro League, the FIH have stated that every match which can be organised between late April and Tokyo 2020, shall be played. No matches will be played after the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
