Red card and Disrepute Complaint Regulations amended following November lockdown

On 5 November 2020, the Government announced a second period of lockdown for England at which point all domestic hockey activity was suspended.

England Hockey is concerned that as a consequence, periods of suspension imposed in accordance with the Red Card/MMO and Disrepute Complaint Regulations to address incidences of proven misconduct will not be effective in the circumstances.

With that in mind, the Red Card/ MMO Regulations and the Disrepute Complaint Regulations have both been amended to give the relevant Disciplinary Bodies the power to review the dates of the original suspension imposed and to order that it be served when hockey playing resumes.
