EHL Playoffs Weekend

This weekend sees the first two rounds of matches in the England Hockey League Championships. On Saturday the teams who finished in 4th and 5th place in the Premier Divisions at the end of the regular season play off with a tie the following day at the first placed team. 

Also on Sunday the teams who finished 2nd play 3rd. The winners of Sunday matches go on to Cannock the following weekend for the Championship finals and in the men’s event, where more EuroHockey league places are up for grabs, the losers will travel for the third placed game.  

The loser of the 4th and 5th game doesn't qualify for Cannock at all.

Saturday 24th April

2nd v 3rd

Sunday 25th April

2nd v 3rd 
East Grinstead v Surbiton 2pm

1st v Winner 4th v 5th 
Reading v Beeston or Loughborough Students, 1.30pm

In addition there are the next two matches in the Conference relegation tournament. Indian Gym, who beat Sheffield UB in the first round of matches in the men’s tournament host, Old Georgians. In the women’s tournament Swansea host Sheffield Hallam with the Welsh team having drawn 0-0 at Southgate last weekend.
