EHL Weekend Preview

Week Four of the EHL season sees Beeston the Mens Premier Division leaders looking to maintain their 100 % record when Canterbury visit Highfields on Saturday.

Second placed East Grinstead, who have also won their first three matches, travel to third placed Hampstead & Westminster who have made an unbeaten start to their campaign. This game is on Sunday along with Reading - Cannock. Schott’s Sporting Miscellany lists Reading v Cannock along with the likes of Rangers v Celtic and England v Australia  in its section on derbies, classics and grudge matches but this is the first time that the two have met with the teams at the foot of the table.

The University of Birmingham have made a fine start to their Womens Premier Division campaign and with three wins lead the table on goal difference from Leicester. The Students make the long trek to Canterbury on Saturday whilst Leicester have the considerably shorter  trip to Cannock. At the foot of the table Neither Olton or Reading have gained a point yet but something will change as the two teams meet on Saturday at Grange Road.
