The big showdown in Men’s Premier Division, on Sunday, that pitted perfect records for both East Grinstead and Beeston, ended in a 2-0 win for the home side.

East Grinstead’s Mats Grambusch put his side into a thirteenth minute lead which was doubled 20 minutes into the second half by player coach Mark Pearn. Free scoring Beeston, who went into the game having averaged 4.5 goals per game, were unable to break the deadlock in their fifth fixture of the season. East Grinstead, as a result, moved away from Beeston for the first time, three points clear at the top.
