GB Men v. Argentina

Great Britain’s men’s hockey team will play Argentina in two matches at Lilleshall National Sports Centre (NSC) later this month.

Following the return of the English and Scottish athletes from the Commonwealth Games, the Home Nations come will now together as Great Britain for a series of training camps and the double header against Argentina on 17 and 18 November.

Ranked eleventh in the world, Argentina finished seventh at the World Cup in Delhi in March, beating the hosts India 4-2 in their final playoff match having seen off higher ranked opponents New Zealand and Canada in the pool stage.

At last month’s Commonwealth Game, also in Delhi, England’s men finished fourth after losing to New Zealand on penalty strokes in the bronze medal match while Scotland finished ninth, defeating Trinidad & Tobago 7-0 in their classification match.
