CRB Price Increase

The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) has recently informed us of an increase in price of enhanced CRB checks.

Recent Government changes to the Vetting and Barring Scheme (VBS) will see the cost of an enhanced CRB check for those in paid roles increase by £8 from 6 April 2011.

As a result England Hockey has had to adjust its prices to incorporate this increase, new price as of 6 April 11 are as follows:

Enhanced CRB (paid roles) £44 + £5 England Hockey admin fee Total  £49
Volunteers £0 + £5 England Hockey admin fee Total  £5

The cost of checking volunteers through England Hockey remains unchanged.

This increase and its timing is linked directly to the Governments decision to scale the VBS back and the resulting cancellation of the requirement to register with the scheme.

Over the coming months the CRB will work with the Home Office and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) to develop proposals on how to implement the recommendations from the CRB and VBS reviews.

England Hockey will keep you up to date with developments.  In the meantime please continue to CRB check as part of the recruitment process.

Please ensure you enclose the correct payment with your forms.
