How are the DBS Update Service and England Hockey portability different?

The DBS Update Service is used for porting DBS certificates that have been previously performed outside of England Hockey’s DBS system (e.g. your job, another sport) or renewing a check that was originally performed through England Hockey’s DBS System. England Hockey portability is used for porting DBS Certificates that have been completed through England Hockey’s DBS system between affiliated hockey clubs/associations.
