Barnes HC: Women's 2nd XI & Women's 3rd XI Coach
Barnes Hockey Club West LondonBarnes Hockey Club is seeking experienced coaches to work with our Women’s 2nd XI (National League Conference East) and our Women’s 3rd XI (London Prem).
W2s
You will have the drive and motivation to take committed players forwards, working with the W2s and supporting the coaching team for our W1s who are in the Premier Division. Synergy between the top women’s teams in terms of playing philosophy, movement of players etc. is a key part of our women’s performance development strategy.
The role offers the opportunity to be a standalone coach for the W2s, with the additional opportunity to work as assistant coach to the W1s.
Training takes place every Wednesday and every other Monday at Dukes Meadows.
W3s
You will have the drive and motivation to take committed players forwards, supporting the team in their move to London Premier Division.
Training takes place every Wednesday at King’s House School.

Barnes HC is an inclusive club with a thriving women’s section that has achieved considerable success in recent seasons. We are looking to find the right coach to continue the excellent work of the previous coaches. We offer a supportive environment in a club that invests in the development of our players and coaches.
The ideal candidate will embrace the ethos of Barnes HC as an inclusive hockey family which supports hockey from elite to junior through our seven women’s and six men’s teams, together with a strong junior section.
Experience and qualifications:
· Level 2 / Sessional Coaching or equivalent
· The ability to design and deliver engaging and high-quality performance coaching
· Demonstrate enthusiasm for and experience of developing players and improving team performance

· Ability to motivate and inspire players
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· Tactical aptitude
Responsibilities:
· Work with the club and team captains to set objectives for the season
· Attend all W2s matches on Saturdays and weekly/bi-weekly training sessions
· Deliver a pre-season training plan
· Plan, deliver and evaluate effective and relevant training sessions designed to advance the skill and performance of individual players and the squad as a whole
· Act as a positive and professional role model, displaying good coaching conduct at all times, promoting an enjoyable and inclusive atmosphere
· Play an instrumental role in weekly team selection
· Provide timely performance feedback to all squad members
· Video footage analysis and feedback
· Work with other coaches and captains to maximise the development of players and contribute to achieving consistency of approach across the women’s section
