Lead, Assistant & Development coaches for DC & ACs
East Cheshire County Hockey Macclesfield and AlsagerEast Cheshire County Hockey is seeking professional Lead, Assistant and Development coaches for its DC and AC coaching team at U13/U14/U15/U16/U17 age groups
East Cheshire County Hockey (ECCH) is three Academy Centre’s (AC’s) within Cheshire. AC’s provide multiple opportunities from September through to May for high quality training for the highest potential 11–18-year-old players.
This coaching opportunity is a chance to work with and help develop the highest potential 11–18-year-old players within Cheshire. It also provides scope to expand your own coaching experience within the England Hockey Talent System. Development Centre’s (DC’s) and AC’s provide high quality coaching sessions across 14 Sundays to a squad of players identified through a robust nomination and selection process based on the England Hockey player profile.
Lead Coach Responsibilities:
· To work as part of a team of coaches to deliver the DC and AC sessions both on the pitch
· Ability to create 2-hour session plans and deliver them on the pitch
· Available to deliver 14 Sunday sessions from September through to May, including some tournament Sundays that are likely to be 5-6 hours. Occasional sessions may be moved to Friday evenings if Sundays cancelled due to weather.
· Provide regular on pitch 1 to 1 feedback to facilitate player development
· Have responsibility for player welfare during coaching sessions
· Act as a mentor to other coaches as and when needed, with support provide by the head coach
Your Experience:
A proven track record of developing junior players ideally within a performance environment.
Your Skills:
· Good understanding of the England Hockey Talent System framework and England Hockey player profile process
· Hold a current First Aid Certificate and be prepared to undergo a DBS enhanced check. Have attended a Safeguarding Children Workshop in the last 3 years (or be willing to attend at the next possible opportunity) and a first aid certificate

· Excellent organisation and communication skills
Salary: Lead coaches £25-£35 per hour, assistant coaches £15-£25 and development coaches £15 per hour, linked to coaching qualifications and previous experience. You will be contracted to ECCH on a self-employed basis.
