Ipswich HC: Hockey Development Lead - Part Time
Ipswich HC IpswichThis is an exciting opportunity to provide hockey leadership, working with Coaches, Club Captains and Youth lead to develop players, coaches and pathways across the Club, ensuring that hockey remains enjoyable, inclusive and accessible for everyone.
The role is focused on hockey development and leadership rather than administration. Key Responsibilities The role ensures that all hockey activity aligns with the policies, standards, and best practice guidance of England Hockey, meets the Club's policies and objectives, promoting player development, coach development, performance progression, and lifelong participation in Hockey for all of our Club members.
Key Responsibilities will include
• Ensure the club Maximises opportunities to run England Hockey initiatives ie Back to Hockey, Clubmark, Hockey hub training Grant Funding etc
• Junior Section Integration and Player Development Pathway
• Strengthen relationships with schools, community programmes and partner organisations. Targetting both State and independent Schools in both Primary and Secondary Schools
• Co-ordinate, run with assistance Sunday junior programmes and look to develop Junior Talent training
• Generate additional income for the club with implementation of Hockey camps which could be linked in with ISC holiday Camps
• Work collaboratively with the Team Coaches to support player and coach development.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and enjoyable club culture.
• Support the Committee in delivering the Club's long-term ambitions.

Desirable Experience
• Suitable level of Coaching qualifications and referenceable coaching experience (EH Lead coach or equivalent)
• Experience of leading hockey programmes
• Coach development and mentoring.
• Junior player development and transition into adult hockey.
• Experience of working with schools and community programmes.
• Knowledge of England Hockey structures and talent pathways.
• Hockey playing experience with other EH bodies such as Masters, County, TA etc
