Men's Club Coach
Khalsa Leamington Hockey Club LeamingtonKhalsa Leamington Hockey Club is seeking an ambitious and committed Head Coach to lead the Men’s Section through an exciting long-term rebuild and development phase ahead of the 2026/27 season.
This is a unique opportunity for a coach who wants to make a genuine impact by helping shape the future direction, identity, and culture of a growing club. We are looking for a coach with the vision, energy, and leadership to build a sustainable and competitive men’s programme over the coming seasons.
The club is entering a new chapter, with a focus on rebuilding the men’s section both on and off the pitch. We are looking for someone who can develop a clear playing philosophy, support player progression across squads, attract new talent to the club, and create an ambitious environment that players want to be part of long term.
This role would suit a coach who enjoys building projects, developing players, and creating a strong club culture while driving competitive performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver high-quality, structured weekly training sessions across the men’s section
• Develop and implement a clear tactical identity and long-term playing philosophy
• Lead matchday preparation and management for the Men’s 1st XI (attendance at league matches essential)
• Support individual player development and progression across all men’s squads
• Work collaboratively with captains and the club committee to support recruitment, retention, and long-term growth
• Help drive player recruitment and strengthen the pathway between junior, university, and senior hockey
• Foster a positive, ambitious, and inclusive team culture throughout the men’s section
Ideal Candidate
• Proven coaching experience at club, university, pathway, or performance level
• Strong understanding of modern tactical hockey and long-term player development
• Passion for building and developing a club programme over multiple seasons
• Ability to create a competitive environment while maintaining strong team culture and enjoyment
• England Hockey coaching qualification (Level 2 or above preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
