Men's 2 Coach, Tulse Hill & Dulwich Hockey Club
Tulse Hill & Dulwich Hockey Club DulwichTulse Hill & Dulwich Hockey Club is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and committed coach to lead the Men’s 2s.
The M2s are an ambitious and competitive group who want to develop individually and collectively. The team play in London Div 2 and have been close to promotion on a couple of occasions over the past few years and have won the England Hockey Vase two years running.
Key responsibilities
· Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions tailored to the needs of the M2s.
· Develop players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, decision-making and physical capabilities.
· Establish a clear playing style and tactical approach for the team.
· Work with the captain and team leadership to prepare effectively for matches.
· Provide constructive, individual feedback to help players understand and improve their performance.
· Support player development and progression within the wider men’s section.
· Analyse matches and training, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to build on strengths.
· Maintain a positive, competitive and inclusive team culture.
· Work collaboratively with other coaches and club leadership to ensure consistency across the men’s section.
· Stay up to date with hockey coaching methods, tactics and best practice.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
· Has previous experience coaching hockey, ideally at senior club level.
· Has a strong understanding of the game and can translate that knowledge into effective training and match preparation.
· Is able to motivate and develop players.
· Communicates clearly, positively and constructively.
· Is organised, reliable and committed to helping the team succeed.
· Enjoys working as part of a club environment rather than simply coaching a team in isolation.
· Shares our commitment to creating a welcoming, ambitious and enjoyable hockey club.
A recognised coaching qualification would be an advantage, but we are equally interested in coaches who can demonstrate strong practical experience, hockey knowledge and a track record of developing players.

Commitment
The role will primarily involve one weekly training session, 7-9pm on Tuesdays at Dulwich College Sports Club, and Saturday match-day coaching, alongside appropriate preparation and communication with the team.
