Sessional Hockey Coach (Part-Time)

Join Our Coaching Team
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Sessional Hockey Coach to join our inclusive coaching team to help deliver high-quality coaching sessions across our junior and adult hockey programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a coach who is passionate about developing players, creating enjoyable training environments, and helping grow participation in hockey. The role would particularly suit an early-career coach who is actively involved in the sport, either as a current or recent player.

Key Responsibilities

+ Plan and deliver engaging hockey training sessions.
+ Coach players of varying ages and abilities.
+ Support player development through technical and tactical       coaching.
+ Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
+ Work alongside fellow coaches, volunteers and club officials.
+ Attend occasional tournaments, festivals and development events.

Essential Requirements
+ Sessional Hockey Coaching Qualification (e.g. Level 2 Award in Sessional Hockey Coaching or equivalent).
+ Current safeguarding certification.
+ First Aid qualification
+ Valid DBS/PVG check (or willingness to obtain one).
+ Excellent communication and organisational skills.
+ Passion for developing players and promoting participation.

Desirable Requirements
+ Active hockey player competing at club, university, county or higher level.
+ Experience coaching junior or adult hockey programmes.
+ Experience supporting talent development pathways.
