OPEN/MEN'S DIVISIONS
The top two met in Open/Mens Division One South and Exeter University remain a point clear of Indian Gymkhana after the points were shared. It was 2-2 going into the final quarter and Jagdev Bansal gave Gymkhana the lead with nine minutes to go, but a 69th minute corner from Harry Markham, his second goal of the game rescued a point in the 3-3 draw for Exeter. Guildford who were third, level on points with Gymkhana missed the chance to go top after a 2-0 loss at Sevenoaks, who now lead them on goals scored. Teddington in fifth won 4-1 at Canterbury with Kyle White scoring twice. Ninth placed Surbiton 2s earned their second point in a 2-2 draw at Old Loughtonians. Loughts’ Ollie MacIntyre netted a double after Henry Tyree gave Surbiton the lead and Tyree popped up with a 69th minute equaliser. There was a first point for tenth placed Havant drawing 3-3 with Richmond who fought back from 3-1 down in the last quarter.
Division One North leaders Repton saw their 100% record ended in a 3-3 draw at Harborne, In a busy first 30 minutes Harborne were 3-2 up including two goals for Joshua Jones. There were no more goals until Repton equalised with a last gasp corner from George Morris. Bowdon and Loughborough Students cut Repton’s advantage to three points with away wins. Richie Dawson-Smith netted a brace in Bowdon’s 5-1 win at Nottingham University, Loughborough won 3-1 at Deeside Ramblers. Birmingham University made it two wins in successive weeks beating Durham University 3-1. Timperley moved off the foot of the table in spectacular style with their first win, 7-3 at Olton & West Warwicks. Cameron Lewis hit a hat-trick and there were doubles for Connor Miller and Jack Entwisle. Olton’s Ed Walters also scored two but his side slip to the foot of the table after this result.
Goals were in short supply in Conference North with no team managing more than two. Leaders Leeds won 2-0 at Didsbury Northern. Their lead at the top extended to five points as their nearest rivals both drew. Neston 2-2 at Newcastle University and Doncaster 1-1 at home in the Yorkshire derby with Sheffield. Oxton stay bottom but won for the first time, 2-1 at Ben Rhydding. Lindum won 2-0 at Durham University 2s.
Isaac Hocking hit a hat-trick for Clifton Robinsons in their 4-0 win at Fareham which sees them move to the top of Conference West. Chichester, who led them on goal difference going into the weekend, dropped points in a 2-2 draw at Team Bath Buccaneers. Oscar Pacey’s brace for Chichester was cancelled out by two Sam Watson goals for Bath. Promoted Marlow move up to third; a Callum White goal in the 66th minute earned the points in a 2-1 win at Ashmoor. Exeter University 2s stay bottom after a 2-2 draw at Cardiff & Met 2s. Cardiff are now ninth as Bristol University moved up the table on the back of their 2-1 win at Isca.
Hampstead & Westminster 2s stay top of Conference East but were held to a 4-4 draw by Brighton & Hove, who remain bottom. Sam French hit a hat-trick for Hampstead, Juan Sosa’s 69th minute corner conversion earning the point for Brighton. London Wayfarers missed the chance to go top losing 4-1 at home to Holcombe 2s who move up to third. James Cutter and William Phillips both scored twice in Old Cranleighan’s 5-2 win at Chelmsford. Southgate 2s go above Spencer. who are now ninth, thanks to a 2-1 home win. Wimbledon 2s also won at home, 4-1 against Bromley & Beckenham.
Conference Midlands leaders Leek were held 3-3 at Banbury with Ben White’s 66th minute equaliser, his second goal of the game earning them a share of the points. Oxford Hawks closed the gap at the top to a point thanks to their 4-1 victory over Nottingham University 2s, Simon Hill scoring twice. The evergreen Gareth Andrew scored all of City of Peterborough’s goals in a 3-1 win at Stourport. Stourport drop to ninth. Barford Tigers move above them thanks to a 5-2 win at bottom of the table Birmingham University 2s. Norwich City beat St Albans 4-2.

WOMEN'S DIVISIONS
Exeter University maintained a three-point lead at the top of Womens Division One South after a 4-1 win at Surbiton 2s. Teddington remain second after a 2-1 win at Bristol Firebrands. Reading 2s are still third but lost more ground after being held to a 0-0 draw by Southgate. Holcombe in fourth did likewise after they were pegged back to 2-2 having led Sevenoaks 2-0 in the Kent derby with twenty minutes left. Guildford were the only team in the Division to record a home win. Lucy Holder scored twice in their 5-0 defeat of bottom of the table Harleston Magpies and Guildford move further out of the relegation zone on the back of this result.
A solitary Sophia Crawshay strike was enough for Division One North leaders Buckingham to record a 1-0 win at Ben Rhydding. Previous leaders Gloucester City bounced back from defeat last weekend to overcome Loughborough Students 2s 5-1 with five different scorers finding the target. Gloucester replace Loughborough in second place. Beeston go fourth thanks to a 2-1 home win over bottom of the table Olton & West Warwicks. It was the same scoreline in the Sutton Coldfield – Repton game. Pendle Forest and Leeds drew 2-2.
It was another week of close games in Conference West with three draws and two wins by one goal. The top two teams, Cardiff & Met and Team Bath Buccaneers played out a 0-0 draw to mean Cardiff stay three points clear. Oxford University remain third after their 1-1 draw with Lansdown a point ahead of Trojans who lost 2-1 at home to Marlow, Slough picked up their first win, also a 2-1 win on the road, at Cheltenham who they now trail by just a point at the bottom of the table. Clifton Robinsons and Exeter drew 1-1 and are level on five points with Cheltenham but with superior goal differences.
The top two going into the weekend met in Conference North and it was Bowdon 2s who came out on top, winning 2-1 at previously unbeaten Alderley Edge thanks to two goals from Jeorgia Carr. Bowdon’s lead at the top is now five points and Newcastle University went above Alderley Edge on goals scored thanks to 5-2 win in the North East derby against Whitley Bay & Tynemouth. Eleanor Milbourn and Megan Howlett both netted braces for the students. Fylde beat bottom of the table Didsbury Northern 3-1. Wakefield are ninth after a 4-0 loss at Durham University 2s and Kirkby Stephen won for the second week running, 1-0 at Sheffield, to move away from the foot of the table.
Eloise Ward scored twice as Oxford Hawks beat leaders Leicester City 2-0 in Conference Midlands. Leicester slip to third with Cambridge City taking over at the top after 2-0 win at Nottingham Trent University who slip to ninth with Hawks going above them on the back of their win. Birmingham University 2s 2-0 win against Cannock puts them second. Cambridge University drew 1-1 with St Albans, their third 1-1 draw in as many weeks and Stourport won 5-1 at bottom of the table Harleston Magpies to move up a place from eighth to seventh.
Conference East saw five close games with none decided by more than a goal. It was top v bottom before the day’s play and Spencer were beaten for the first time, 3-2 at Guildford 2s who were without a win going into the game. London Wayfarers take over at the top, Laura Buttimer scoring twice in their 2-2 draw with Hampstead & Westminster 2s who are third. Old Georgians go fourth replacing Old Loughtonians who they beat 2-1. Wapping and Canterbury drew 1-1 and are above Barnes 2s who lost 3-2 to Wimbledon 2s to remain bottom, on goal difference.
