Women's EHL
A 3-1 win at Leeds sees Gloucester City top the Women's Division One North. Emily Austen, Megan Brazil and Sally Walton scored for Gloucester who are a point clear of Buckingham, 5-0 winners over Olton & West Warwicks: Sophia Crawshay scoring all five. Sutton Coldfield and Repton who were unbeaten before Saturday both lost on their travels. Sutton 3-1 at Loughborough Students 2, Repton 1-0 at Beeston. Pendle Forest also won their derby with Ben Rhydding 1-0.

Holcombe lead Division One South, one of three teams on seven points. They beat Surbiton 2s 2-0. Lorna Willmott scored twice as Exeter University, in second, overcame Harleston Magpies 3-1. Reading 2s in third were held 1-1 at unbeaten Bristol Firebrands. Teddington ran out convincing 5-0 winners at Sevenoaks, and there was a first win for Southgate, 3-1 at Guildford.

Newcomers Cardiff & Met are enjoying life in Conference West. They top the table with three wins out of three, the latest a 7-1 defeat of Marlow, Jamie Bulbring netting four. Team Bath Buccaneers and Oxford University are two points back. Bath won 3-0 at Cheltenham, Oxford 3-1 at Trojans. Lansdown won 1-0 at Clifton Robinsons 2s whilst Slough lost 4-1 at home to Exeter and along with Marlow, have yet to pick up a point.

Alderley Edge sit top of Conference North with maximum points. Amelie Long scored twice in their 5-2 win over Kirkby Stephen. Bowdon 2s are level with them, they beat Durham University 2s 4-0 with Jeorgia Carr scoring twice. The Didsbury Northern – Wakefield and Sheffield - Whitley Bay & Tynemouth games both ended 1-1 whilst Fylde v Newcastle University was beaten by Storm Amy.

Cannock’s 100% start in Conference Midlands came to a spectacular end, beaten 7-1 at home by Leicester City who had seven different players on the score sheet and move up to second. St Albans go top, a Molly Hobson goal enough for a 1-0 win at Nottingham Trent University, who have yet to pick up a point after promotion. Neither have Harleston Magpies 2s, beaten 3-1 at home by Cambridge University who are third with Cambridge City, 4-1 victors over Oxford Hawks a place back. Stourport won 2-1 at Birmingham University 2s.

Only one point separates the top five in Conference East. London Wayfarers ended Old Loughtonians unbeaten start to go top after a 3-1 win, Spencer who beat Wapping 3-2 are level on points with them. Third placed Hampstead & Westminster 2s were the day’s top scorers, winning 5-0 at Barnes 2. Old Georgians are also in the pack thanks to a 1-0 win over Wimbledon 2s and Canterbury picked up their first points in beating Guildford 2s 2-1 who replace them at the foot of the table.

Open/Men's EHL
Jake Bennett scored twice in Exeter University’s 5-1 defeat of Richmond in Open/Men's Division One South. This means Exeter are top, the only team with maximum points after three games, whilst Richmond, who were relegated last season, are bottom without a point. Indian Gymkhana are two points behind Exeter after being held 2-2 by Teddington. Old Loughtonians who enjoyed a 2-1 home win against Havant are also on seven points. Joe Naughalty hit a hat-trick as Sevenoaks won 4-1 at Surbiton 2s. Guildford also enjoyed away success, 4-3 at Canterbury.

Loughborough Students and Repton both have three wins out of three on Division One North. Loughborough had a narrow 2-1 win over Timperley whilst Repton won 5-3 at Birmingham University with Simon Claris netting a hat-trick. Bowdon are three points back after their 4-3 victory over Durham University. William Barber hit three in Nottingham University’s 6-1 defeat of Olton & West Warwicks and Harborne also scored six, in a 6-2 win at Deeside Ramblers.

Leeds are top of Conference North, their 3-1 win at Sheffield means they have maximum points as do promoted Neston, but they needed three goals in the last 10 minutes to win the Wirral derby against bottom of the table Oxton 4-2. Third placed Lindum eased past Newcastle University 7-1. Doncaster secured their first win, 4-2 at Didsbury Northern and Durham University 2s and Ben Rhydding drew 1-1.

No team has maximum points after three weeks in Conference West and the three that have seven were all held on Sunday. Top of the table Chichester drew 2-2 at Bristol University whilst elsewhere in the city second placed Clifton Robinsons' game with Cardiff & Met ended goalless. Ashmoor in third were held 3-3 by Devon rivals Isca. Jayden Zamler hit a hat-trick for Marlow in a 4-3 win at Exeter University 2s, their first points since gaining promotion, and Fareham also got off the mark, in a 2-1 defeat of Team Bath Buccaneers with Oliver Pemble scoring two minutes from time.
Conference West Top Scorers (5 Oct 2025): Josh Brown (Chichester) 4, Jayden Zamler (Marlow) 4, Richard Fisher (Ashmoor) 3, Isaac Hocking (Clifton Robinsons) 3, Thomas Spooner (Chichester) 3.

Chelmsford remain top of Conference East but were held 2-2 at Southgate 2s. Old Cranleighan are a point back after going down 2-1 at Spencer. Dan Verity scored twice as London Wayfarers beat Hampstead & Westminster 2s to remain unbeaten. There were first wins for Holcombe, 4-3 over Wimbledon 2s and Bromley & Beckenham, 3-1 at Brighton & Hove.

Promoted Leek remain top of Conference Midlands but were held to a 0-0 draw by St Albans. Fellow newcomers, City of Peterborough, joined them on seven points after a 4-1 defeat of previously unbeaten Norwich City, Joe Finding scoring a hat-trick of strokes. The Oxfordshire derby between Banbury and Oxford Hawks ended 1-1 and Birmingham University 2s and Stourport also couldn’t be separated, their game ending 2-2. Nottingham University 2s beat Barford Tigers 4-1, Tigers the only team without a point to date.
