EHL Premier Division Preview | Week Four

Women's Premier Division

Its top vs bottom in the Women's Premier Division as leaders Hampstead & Westminster make the short trip to Barnes. Barnes have yet to score a goal in three defeats and Hampstead are yet to concede in three wins.

Second-placed Surbiton host Nottingham University, another team without a point, who will face former player Maddie Axford, who scored twice in their 3-3 draw at East Grinstead last weekend.

Birmingham University have made a good unbeaten start but face a tough challenge to continue that run as they travel to champions Reading.

East Grinstead host Durham University for their first ever EHL meeting.

Bowdon got off the mark beating Durham last week and go to Clifton Robinsons who have yet to earn a point.

Wimbledon host Loughborough Students who they trail by two points going into the game.

Open/Men's Premier Division

There’s a reduced programme in the Open/Men's Premier Division with the Reading - Old Georgians and Wimbledon – Surbiton games rescheduled due to EuroHockey League commitments.

OGs have already played and beaten Reading whilst Wimbledon will host Surbiton on 13 November.

With the current top three out of action, Holcombe will be hoping to steal a march when they travel to Southgate. Holcombe came unstuck at home to Surbiton last weekend whilst Southgate gained a first point at Oxted but lost at Brooklands MU on the Sunday.

Brooklands will be buoyed by that success, and they travel to Oxted this Saturday.

Cardiff & Met got off the mark last weekend with a win against Beeston and meet East Grinstead this weekend.

Beeston are the only team without a point and welcome Hampstead & Westminster looking to break their duck.
