EHL Premier Division Preview | Week Three

Women's Premier Division
Champions Reading make the trip to Nottingham University where they won 2-1 last season. Nottingham are without a point to date.
East Grinstead host early leaders Surbiton in a repeat of last season’s semi-final which Surbiton edged a 3-2 victory.
Durham University make their shortest trip of the season, a 290-mile round trip, to Bowdon buoyed by two wins out of two in their opening games whereas their hosts have yet to get off the mark.
Birmingham University have also started with two wins, helped by two clean sheets for new keeper Tilly Woodhead, and they welcome Wimbledon to Bournbrook.
Hampstead & Westminster’s Miriam Pritchard is another keeper to have not conceded a goal, and Hampstead will be hoping to continue their 100% start to the season against Clifton Robinsons.
Barnes travel to Loughborough Students who they haven’t faced in a league game for over 15 seasons. They are looking for their first point and goal since elevation to the top-flight.

Open/Men's Premier Division
League champions Surbiton host Holcombe and with both teams having won their opening two games it looks to be a tight affair as it was this time last year when the teams played out a 4-4 draw.
Old Georgians enter this weekend's matches top of the table, helped by their 3-0 win over Reading on Thursday and have yet to concede a goal, but will face a tough battle with Wimbledon who have two wins from two games, scoring 11 in the process.
Brooklands MU travel to East Grinstead and then host Southgate on Sunday in a rescheduled fixture after their game abandoned a fortnight ago, as they look for their first points.
Two more teams looking to do likewise meet in Wales as Cardiff & Met host Beeston. Southgate travel to Oxted before their return trip to Cheshire and Reading visit Hampstead & Westminster.
