England Teams To Compete In 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation- International Tournament

Both England Women's and Men's Hockey teams will travel to Terrassa, Spain to compete in the 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation- International Tournament starting from 25th July.  

The Women's team will play two-legged ties against the hosts Spain and India, while the Men's team will take on the Netherlands, Spain, and India in the round-robin stage of the tournament.   

England Women's Hockey team were last seen in action at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games where they clinched historic Gold. They remained unbeaten throughout the campaign as they beat Ghana 12-0, Canada 1-0, India 3-1, and Wales 5-0 to finish on top in Pool A. They then defeated New Zealand 0-0 (2-0 SO) in the Semi-final and Australia 2-1 in the Final. 

England Men's Hockey team were in action at the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar - Rourkela earlier this year. They finished fifth in the campaign having topped the pool D. They stared their campaign with a 5-0 win over Wales, played out a thrilling 0-0 draw against hosts India and defeated Spain 4-0 in the Pool stage. They lost to Germany 2-2 (3-4 SO) in the Quarter-final.   

This invitational tournament will serve as preparation for England teams ahead of their participation in the EuroHockey Championships 2023.
