    Clubs & Facilities Manager (maternity cover) | Bisham Abbey NSC, Marlow, Bucks

    England Hockey is recruiting for a temporary Clubs & Facilities Manager to cover maternity leave. The Clubs and Facilities Manager will be responsible for driving a growth in club membership of both adults and young people. EH is looking for someone who is an excellent communicator who can quickly establish credibility and strong relationships across a wide and complex network of stakeholders both internally in the sport and externally. A key part of the role is to embed the club strategy for hockey and to influence other internal strategies that impact on club development and participation growth in clubs to create more, better, happier players. Key to the growth and retention of players in the game will be to Protect, Improve and Develop the facility stock through strategic influencing of national, regional and local facilities investment and resource. The Clubs and Facilities Manager will work with a range of clubs, facility providers, funders and other National Governing Bodies at national, regional, county and local level to effectively and efficiently support the development of clubs and appropriate local facilities for the sport. This will include the development and communication of technical guidance, funding guidance to ensure the existing stock is maintained and new facilities are developed where there is a clear strategic need. The Clubs and Facilities Manager will lead and manage a team and will be required to develop a seamless relationship across all four England Hockey Directorates to ensure integrated and joined up delivery at all levels. In particular the Clubs and Facilities Team will work closely with local England Hockey Relationship Managers to influence the development of clubs and appropriate facilities to ensure the delivery of key strategic priorities at a local level.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the Receptionist/Administrator will be the first point of contact for all EH customers, clients, employees, consultants, athletes and other stakeholders, either face to face or on the telephone. It is therefore imperative that the first impression is one of professionalism, pride, courtesy and composure. The Receptionist/Administrator will be responsible for attending to visitors and dealing with enquiries in a friendly, welcoming and professional manner at all times. In addition he/she will also be responsible for carrying out administrative duties as and when required.
