The England U16 and U18 Team Managers will excel in fostering working relationships with athletes, parents, coaches, and multiple stakeholders. The Team Manager will work with the coaching team and Junior Talent Development Manager in ensuring the best possible environment is maintained to optimise individual and team development. The successful candidate will be a confident and influential networker with exceptional organising and prioritising skills with a keen eye for detail. They will be adept at problem solving and conflict resolution, will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, demonstrating tact and diplomacy at all times. A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a commitment to excellence is a must. In addition, the candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the complexities of a performance environment, especially in relation to young players. The candidate will have a proven track record of working in environments where they have held welfare, safeguarding and ‘in loco parentis’ responsibilities.

The role involves a mix of school, junior, adult and performance hockey coaching, but we will also be looking to you to support the wider hockey club development plan. BromBeck HC is one of the oldest and proudest hockey clubs in the UK, following the merger at the start of the 2005/6 season, we have been a consistently high performing club, with both our Men’s and Ladies 1st XI squads back in the National League. Both squads have been through a re-building phase and now share aspirations to be performing at the highest level. We have 10 adult men’s and 5 adult ladies teams. We also have a strong junior section with over 350 members. They compete at all ages from U8 to U18, with the boys winning national titles indoors and outdoors in the recent years.
