Investec Women's and Men's Hockey League lineups confirmed

Wimbledon celebrate winning the MHL 2016

With all the promotion and relegation matters concluded and teams planning for next season already, the composition of the North, East and West Conferences has been announced.

Sutton Coldfield, who won the West Conference last season, will ply their trade in the North Conference in 2016-17. Buckingham, relegated from the Investec Women’s Premier Division will play in the West Conference. Southgate, winners of the South League will play in the East Conference where they will be joined by Northampton Saints, promoted from the Midlands league. Exe make a return to the West Conference whilst newcomers to the Investec Women’s Hockey League Timperley and West Herts will play in the North and East Conferences respectively.  

In the Men’s Hockey League Indian Gymkhana will move from the West Conference to the East. Cannock whose relegation means they will not be in the top flight for the first time since 1989-90, will play in the North Conference. Leek, Promoted from the Midlands also take their place in the North Conference. Old Georgians, winners of the South will play in the West Conference. Three teams are new to the Men’s Hockey League having never played at this level before, Bristol (West Conference), Wapping (East) and Oxton (North.)
