The plate final ended in dramatic fashion with Kings School Chester beating Merchant Taylors on penalty strokes after an exciting 3-3 draw.

Merchant Taylors were first on the score sheet with Thomas Richards converting a penalty corner but Kings School were quick to react with Daniel Verity beating the keeper making it all level. Kings School quickly furthered their lead by two goals just before half time from Fraser Smellie and Verity, getting his second.
