Your World Cup - Inspiring clubs to get involved

YWC web banner
It is only eight months until 16 of the best nations in the world descend on London to compete in the Vitality Hockey Women's World Cup and we want your club to be a part of it.

The Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup will further increase the visibility of the sport at both a national and local level, and by working together we want to capitalise on this increased visibility to see if we can provide opportunities for more people than ever before to enjoy our great game!

Your World Cup is supporting hockey clubs to develop and grow to suit them and their community. We know every club is different and wants to develop in different ways so we have developed a suite of tools to help you, a pick ‘n’ mix hockey tools! From January we will be regularly sharing case studies from other clubs, fun session ideas, promotional materials and exclusive competitions to those clubs that have signed up.

Sally Munday, CEO, England Hockey

‘England Hockey’s ambition is to create a ‘Nation Where Hockey Matters”, hosting a home World Cup presents us with another golden opportunity to grow our game. Thanks to our amazing hockey clubs and volunteers hockey has seen a 40% growth in people playing hockey in clubs since Team GB women won bronze at London 2012 and we even moved the 10 o’clock news for the Rio gold medal final in 2016!

‘To celebrate the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup we are launching our largest participation campaign to date and we want you to get involved because this is YOUR WORLD CUP too!’

From January we will be regularly sharing case studies from other clubs, fun session ideas, promotional materials and exclusive competitions to those clubs that have signed up.

Up and down the country we will be hosting local club forums for a chance for your club to share ideas, ask questions and begin to plan Your World Cup activities. Speak to your local Relationship Manager for more information how to get involved in your local forum.
