New Hockey Futures Charity Launched

Hockey Futures 1

Today sees the launch of Hockey Futures, an exciting new charity that aims to target disadvantaged inner city communities where young people don’t currently get the opportunity to play hockey.

Hockey Futures believes that every child should have access to the life changing benefits that hockey can provide and their vision is simple: to create a nation where every young person can play hockey.

In order to achieve this the charity will partner will clubs to create outreach programmes that will connect with young people through schools and community organisations. Hockey Futures will also provide grants and support to clubs who meet the outreach criteria and match their values and aims and they will advise on target areas, schools and delivery to create sustainable inclusive programmes.

Olympic gold medallist Helen Richardson-Walsh will be the ambassador for Hockey Futures and is committed to use her status as an inspiring role model to help change hockey for the better.
