Here are the simple Rush Hockey rules, along with guidelines to help create an enjoyable session

Rush Hockey has arrived in secondary schools!
If your students just want to play games, Rush Hockey is for you. It is five-a-side and can be played indoors or outdoors. Schools love playing Rush Hockey at lunchtime or after school because it is simple to set up and play. The bigger, lighter ball is easier to control and smaller goals mean there is no need for goalkeepers.

Rush Hockey is made up of a few simple rules which are easy to pick up and aims to get people playing quickly. They are enclosed within our guidance for delivering Rush Hockey in secondary schools, which can be downloaded from the side of this page.

The Rush Hockey equipment adds to the players' experience. Each pack comes with a total of 14 sticks. The design of the sticks allows them to be used as an alternative to bibs. The bigger, lighter ball balls are suitable on a range of surfaces. Players who are new to the game have told us they are easier to control and less intimidating than traditional hockey balls.

The smaller Rush Hockey goals are made in the UK by Samba sports from strong durable plastic which is designed to last. They can be set up and taken down in only a couple of minutes. Each Rush Hockey pitch pack comes in a handy kit bag with wheels for easy transportation.

All equipment is ordered directly from our official suppliers Youth Sport Direct. Visit their website here and search Rush Hockey.
