On Saturday 19 May hockey lovers from across the country gathered to celebrate the achievements of volunteers, umpires, coaches and players over the past year at the England Hockey Awards Dinner 2018.

Held once again at the Athena in Leicester, more than 450 people were in attendance to see the awards handed out. Hosted by Simon Mason and Sam Quek and with plenty of stars in tow it was a fine evening!

The 2018 winners were:
  • Notts Sport Club of the Year - Kettering HC
  • Howden Men's Team of the Year - Ashmoor HC Men's 1st XI
  • Investec Women's Team of the Year - Pendle Forest 1st XI
  • MJ Events Unsung Club Hero - Jen Clark
  • Men's Senior Performance Player - Phil Roper
  • Men's Junior Performance Player - Jack Waller
  • Investec Women's Senior Performance Player - Laura Unsworth
  • Investec Women's Junior Performance Player - Tess Howard
  • Coach of the Year - Matt Parker
  • Lifetime Achievement - Mike Ward & Judith Nicholson
  • Official of the Year - Lee Barron
  • Vitality Rising Star - Eleanor Godwin
  • Innovation - Scarborough HC
  • Vitality Hockey Maker of the Year - Bev Barstow
