On the back of our gold medal success in Rio and the Vitality Hockey Women's World Cup in London, clubs have seen a surge in the number of people wanting to pick up a stick for the first time or returning to the sport after some time away.
Clubs have been fantastic in catering for this additional demand and have shared many examples on what they have done. If you want to find guidance on any of the questions below download our 'Ways To Play' tool available from the side of the page.

We can help you:
  • Find helpers
  • Cater for a large number of junior players
  • Maximise the use of our pitch time for juniors
  • Manage a full junior section or reducing our waiting list
  • Utilise pitch space to get more adults on a pitch
  • Provide a range of playing options to cater for all players
  • Offer flexible memberships to benefit the club and members
  • Promote your different 'Ways to Play' to your local community

Your World Cup

Over half of the 800 hockey clubs in England signed up to be a part of the ‘Your World Cup’ campaign. The aim was to inspire clubs to utilise the increased visibility of hosting a home World Cup to inspire their communities to get involved with hockey, with these clubs providing over 1,000 additional opportunities. Your World Cup also provided clubs with a range suite of resources and tools, which can still be accessed below.
