Stories from our current Back to Hockey players on why they returned and how they got on.

It’s back! Our national Back to Hockey Campaign 2017 will run between 8th May to 18th June.

In 2016 our 6 week campaign saw over 160 clubs deliver Back to Hockey sessions that encouraged more than 2,000 players to return to the game. This year, our first campaign since that fantastic night in Rio, promises to be bigger and better than ever as more people than ever will want to pick up a stick.

Are you a player or knows someone who can’t wait until then? Visit our Find a Club page here and in just a few clicks you can see all of your local hockey clubs.

How to sign your clubs up to the campaign?

Whilst we are busy putting the campaign together, clubs are able to sign up to be a part of it by speaking to your local Relationship Manager whose details can be found here. It doesn’t cost anything to be involved and we will support you all of the way by providing;

-  Marketing materials
-  Guidance to maximise the promotion of your sessions
-  Tips on how to create a great player experience
-  Ideas for you coaches and session plans
-  Advice on retaining players after Back to Hockey
-  Plus much more!

Don’t take our word for how great Back to Hockey can be for your club, here are some of the benefits you have told us about:

• More Club Players – 40 players have started to play regularly again in just 18 months. Prescot HC
• More Casual Players – We can target players who just want to play for fun and don’t want to commit to a club environment. Belper HC
• Additional Income – The pitch is already booked for other teams & we are volunteers so all subs go straight into the clubs funds. Wimbledon HC
• Extra Publicity – It’s an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of our family club in the local area. Gillingham Anchorians HC
• New Volunteers – Around a dozen members have supported the sessions, which is great as it also helps to promote the social side. Gillingham Anchorians HC
• Feel Good Factor - This group of ladies have brought enthusiasm to our ladies section that, quite honestly, has turned it around. Keynsham HC
