Ladies 1st XI Head Coach

Alderley Edge HC is one of the largest hockey clubs in the region, with 7 adult ladies’ teams competing from participation to performance, with our 2nd XI competing in North West Prem and having returned to national league in 2025, our 1st XI finished very strongly last season with a 2nd place finish in Conference North. All the ladies’ teams have a dedicated coach and manager in place, individual team coaching sessions weekly as well as fortnightly dedicated goalkeeper training.

We are looking for a Head Coach to lead our 1st XI as they look to build on the positive momentum of three successive seasons of improvement. We are looking for someone who can create a challenging environment, with positive energy to drive the team forward. Feedback, both as a team and individuals is crucial and the coach will have the necessary video facilities to record and provide video feedback.

Our Head Coach will be responsible for squad selection, with support from 1st XI Assistant Coach, 2ndXI Coach and Captains where necessary.  

The successful candidate will lead our team of coaches, creating a joined-up link through the club to allow players to progress. AEHC are incredibly proud of their home-grown talent and maintaining the talent pathway is critical for the further development of the club.

Key Requirements:

·         Hold the relevant coaching certifications.

·         Plan and deliver coaching on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, both on-pitch and video sessions as required.

·         Attend all 1st team Saturday fixtures.
