Are you passionate about coaching and ready to make a real impact? We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic coaches to work alongside a dedicated team of volunteer and paid coaches. If you believe in developing players, helping them achieve their potential and above all nurturing a love of hockey, this is the role for you!

The BHHHC Hockey Family
BHHHC is a thriving community club set in the beautiful Chiltern Hills. Beyond our youth section we have 10 adult teams, masters and mixed teams, walking hockey, and an active community outreach programme — all centred around our own astro and clubhouse.

We take pride in our friendly and supportive atmosphere, helping everyone grow their skills and their enjoyment of the game.  We believe that creating a sense of belonging and promoting inclusion brings the best out of our young players and nurtures their potential. Above all, we encourage a love of hockey that lasts a lifetime and supports physical and mental health for the future

The Role
As our Youth Lead Coach for our Sunday morning youth sessions (U6/U8s: 9.00-1000 and U12/U14 1000-1100), you will:

·       structure and plan engaging and effective training sessions tailored to the needs of young players

·       lead and oversee the safe delivery of these sessions, setting the tone for a positive and inspiring environment.

·       Support and collaborate with volunteer and paid coaches to ensure high-quality coaching standards.

·       link with the Lead Coach for our Wednesday U12/U14 session to ensure there is consistency.

Other Opportunities:
·       Club coaching (Mondays Sept to March - 1900-2100) – this session is primarily attended by 3/4/5s players many of whom are U18.  This is an ideal time to continue to develop the skills of young players as well as build the talent of existing adult members.  

·       build and expand our in-school programme, introducing more young people to the joy of sport.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re on the hunt for someone who:

·       has a passion for youth development.

·       shares our core value of creating a fun, supportive environment for players of all abilities and different age groups.

·       can design and deliver a creative, effective coaching programme

·       can lead a team of junior coaches and volunteers with positivity and purpose.

·       has proven experience delivering engaging sessions and developing young players

·       communicates well and collaborates with coaches, parents, and the wider community

The Club expects coaches to hold relevant qualifications, including safeguarding, first aid and DBS.  

What’s different about us.
If you have what it takes, we’d love to hear from you. We’re willing to offer flexibility and will think creatively for the right person.  If you can also deliver our Monday club session for continuity, we’d welcome that too — this approach has been highly successful in the past.
