Sevenoaks Hockey Club Sevenoaks, Kent, England
SHARE

Inspire the next generation at one of England’s leading community hockey clubs. This role is being advertised alongside a vacancy for Men’s 1st Team Coach. Applicants are welcome to apply for one or both roles.

We’re Sevenoaks Hockey Club – a thriving, ambitious and values-led club with a standout junior programme of nearly 500 young players and over 100 coaches and volunteers. We’re looking for a high-calibre Head of Junior Coaching to lead the next chapter in our development. This is much more than a coaching job. It’s a strategic role at the heart of a
forward-thinking club, recognised as an England Hockey Talent Centre and Talent Academy. You’ll shape the future of our junior offer – from the youngest beginners through to national-level athletes. It’s a role with real scope, real support, and a real chance to make your mark.

We want someone who’s driven by impact. You’ll need experience designing and delivering high-quality junior coaching programmes, alongside strong leadership and mentoring skills. You’re probably a Level 3 coach (or working towards it), and confident navigating the England Hockey Talent Framework. And above all, you’re someone who can inspire players, coaches and parents alike.

The role:
• Lead the design and delivery of our junior hockey programme across all age groups and abilities
• Develop and support our team of coaches, assistants and volunteers –
especially our younger and up-and-coming talent
• Play an active role in fostering seamless progression into senior and
performance hockey
• Work closely with the Junior Hockey Committee, coaches, the Talent
Academy and school partners to create joined-up pathways
• Bring the ‘Sevenoaks Way’ to life – community, aspiration, excellence and inclusion

What’s on offer:
• Competitive package based on experience
• Support for CPD and progression
• Opportunities for additional paid work through holiday camps, 1-to-1s and wider club coaching
• The chance to be considered for future roles, including senior
performance roles across the club as they arise
• A warm, well-run and values-driven club that’s going places – and wants you to come with us
