UCL Men's HC: 2nd Team Coach

UCL Men's Hockey Club is looking for an experienced and driven coach to lead our 2nd team as we seek to remain a competitive force in the BUCS South Eastern Division 2 - playing against the best first teams from other London universities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging weekly training sessions on Monday evenings (7-8:30pm)
• Attend Wednesday BUCS matchdays to lead the team on game day
• Drive the tactical and technical development of the squad
• Monitor individual and team performance
• Work closely with the captain to build a high-performance culture

Experience and Approach:

• An England Hockey Level 1 or 2 coaching qualification is desirable, though candidates with strong relevant experience will be considered
• A solid understanding of the game at a competitive level, both technically and tactically
• Self-motivated and reliable, with the commitment to show up consistently for training and matchdays
• A history of developing players and raising team performance over a season
• Strong communicator who can build trust and get the best out of a university squad
