    Futures Cup 2020 - Welfare Manager Role | Oaklands College, Hatfield Road, Oaklands, St Albans AL4 0JA

    England Hockey (EH) is the National Governing Body for the sport of Hockey. EH has income and expenditure of circa £12m p.a. It is responsible for the management and development of the sport from grass roots to elite activities. EH’s vision is to become ‘A Nation Where Hockey matters’ and the mission is “To Provide Inspirational Leadership To Deliver Our Ambitions”. The current focus for the organisation is delivery of its 5 objectives within the 2017 -2027 strategic plan: • Growth in participation - Increase the number of people participating in hockey • International success - Continue to raise the performance bar of athlete and coach development and create positive role models for the sport • Increased visibility - Deliver high profile domestic and international events that attract increased spectator numbers, TV coverage, and sponsorship • Enhanced infrastructure - Enhance the playing experience by improving facilities, coaching and officiating • A strong and respected NGB - Continue to maintain high governance standards. The Player Pathway is an integral part of EH’s holistic talent development strategy. Its aims are to provide the best possible talent development environments for all players to achieve their potential. To support the delivery of Tier 2 of the England Hockey Player Pathway at Futures Cup, EH is seeking applications for a Welfare Manager. They will be part of a team responsible for delivering an event for our very best young hockey players whilst they strive to develop their skills in a high-intensity and pressurised best v best tournament environment.
