Tiverton White Eagles Back To Hockey

Tiverton White Eagles decided to host Vitality back to hockey sessions in July to show hockey as a fantastic team sport and encourage people to give it a go. They want to share the love of hockey within their local community, Covid had a huge impact on team sports as they were unable to play during the many lockdowns and restrictions put in place. Their aim with these sessions is to get more people back into hockey and enjoying all aspects that playing team sports offers on and off the pitch.

Tiverton White Eagles had new players attending from all walks of life and all different abilities, some were complete beginners that had never picked up a stick before, and others hadn’t played in years and took these sessions as a chance to get back into it.

They promoted sessions online via social media and their website, also running a press release in the local newspapers. Which all had a fantastic response.

Moving forward Tiverton White Eagles are hosting ‘Pick Up A Stick’ sessions open to men and women in August, they have just started their first men’s hockey team as Tiverton White Eagles, so are keen to shout about men’s hockey being available locally within the area.

The pick up a stick sessions start Wednesday 10 August 7-8pm and will run until 31 August.

Tiverton White Eagles want to attract new and former players back to hockey, reigniting a love of the game, and offering people a place to feel part of a friendly community with a platform to reach their hockey potential.
