The first round of Women’s Premier Division fixtures produced a number of impressive performances, with Loughborough Students delivering the result of the day as they recorded an emphatic 7-0 victory over Buckingham on their return to the division. The hosts were clinical throughout, Amy Cradden opened the scoring with the two goals for the hosts, with the remaining goals shared across the squad with clinical finishing.

Elsewhere, East Grinstead started their campaign with a convincing 3-0 win at Bowdon. Surbiton also enjoyed success on the road, defeating Teddington 1-3 in the home side's first ever Premier Division match.

Durham University continued their success from last season with a 1-0 win in their opening match of the new season over Reading, with the only goal of the match scored by Lorna Crawford in the 56th minute.

Bethany Peers scored both goals for the University of Birmingham in their 2-0 victory over the University of Nottingham.

In Southwest London, Wimbledon edged past Hampstead & Westminster 1-0, with Olivia Chilton's second-half strike proving the difference between the sides in a closely contested encounter.

Open/Men's Premier Division Round-Up – 26 September 2026

An entertaining opening round of Open/Men's Premier Division fixtures produced 29 goals across six matches, with Wimbledon delivering the standout performance of the weekend in a 7-3 victory over Hampstead & Westminster. Ali Empey starred with a hat-trick, with goals also from Sam Hooper, Louis Tipper and Ben Francis.

Surbiton earned three points over the reigning Premier Division champions, Old Georgians, with a 3-2 victory. All five goals came inside the first-half and last season's top scorer, Nick Bandurak, started the new campaign on the scoresheet.

Reading secured a hard-fought 2-1 away win at Oxted, while East Grinstead claimed an impressive 3-1 victory on the road against Bowdon.

At the University of Exeter, a clinical hat-trick from Kaden Draysey helped the hosts record a 4-2 success over Holcombe.

The only drawn fixture saw Beeston and Cardiff & Met share the points in a 2-2 stalemate, with both sides showing resilience to earn a valuable result.
