Open/Men's Premier Division

Open/Men's Premier Division leaders Surbiton had to come from behind against Brooklands MU to maintain their 100% record. Two goals from Brooklands’ Carlon Mentoor and one for James Lavers had put them up 3-1 just before the break before Nick Bandurak added to David Goodfield’s earlier goal for the hosts. In the second half Bandurak completed his brace as did Stu Rushmere and with Will Calnan also scoring the game ended 6-3 to Surbiton.

Second-placed Wimbledon also won by a three-goal advantage, 4-1 at East Grinstead. Kei Kaeppeler opened the scoring for Wimbledon before EG's Jonty Elmes scored on the stroke of half time, making it seven out of nine games he has found the net. A second half brace from Liam Ansell and one for Louis Tipper made the game ultimately comfortable for Wimbledon.

The unbeaten top two meet this Thursday evening at Wimbledon.

Archie Foster hit a hat-trick as third placed Hampstead & Westminster beat Cardiff & Met 6-0. They are unbeaten in seven, four points behind Surbiton but have played a game more.

Old Georgians beat Oxted 3-1 and Southgate won at Reading by the same scoreline with two goals for Rajan Shukla.  These results meant the defeated teams were unable to go above EG in the battle for a top-six finish before the end of the opening league phase.

Fifth-placed Holcombe beat bottom of the table Beeston 4-0. The fourth time they have scored four in the last five games.

This was Wimbledon’s third successive clean sheet and Jessica Buchanan’s sixth of the season, it’s now 225 minutes since they conceded a goal.

Reading beat Barnes 3-0 to stay in fifth place. Below them the battle for the final top six place has heated up with three teams all on 12 points.

Durham University go sixth replacing the University of Birmingham after beating them in their first away win of the season with skipper, Lizzie Pocknell, scoring two of their goals.

Loughborough Students trail their Uni rivals on goal difference after a 1-1 draw at Clifton Robinsons, Clifton’s second point in as many weeks.
