England ready for Spain and China FIH Hockey Pro League legs
England Hockey have announced the men’s and women’s squads set to travel to Spain and China for the next block of their FIH Hockey Pro League campaigns.
Both squads currently sit in fourth place in the table after the opening four matches in Dublin.
The women’s squad travel to Yunfu, China, with their first match on 6 February against the reigning FIH Hockey Pro League champions, Netherlands, before playing the hosts, China.
Amy Thompson will be aiming to make her England debut after a late injury forced her to miss December’s season opener in Dublin.
Fiona Crackles and Izzy Petter both return to the FIH Hockey Pro League squad after missing the Dublin leg.
The men’s squad journey over to Valencia, Spain, with their first match, similarly to the women’s squad, on 6 February against the reigning FIH Hockey Pro League champions, Netherlands, before playing hosts, Spain.
Phil Roper, Tim Nurse, Stuart Rushmere and David Goodfield all return to the squad after missing the season opener in Dublin.
Sam Ward also returns to the squad, after missing Dublin through injury, to compete in his seventh FIH Hockey Pro League campaign.
