EuroChamps27 set to light up London in summer 2027
London is set to host EuroChamps27 as the biggest and boldest EuroHockey Championship to date lands in England from 28 July to 8 August 2027.
The championships will feature 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams, bringing the very best of European hockey to the capital. The tournament will be anchored at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, the home of England Hockey’s international events for more than a decade and is recognised as one of the world’s leading hockey venues, with a strong Olympic and major events legacy. Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre will host the Pool games and quarter finals, delivering elite hockey in an iconic venue which has staged some of the sport’s biggest moments.
The competition will then build towards a showpiece finale with the return of Big Stadium Hockey to the UK, as the Semi-Finals and Finals are played at The Twickenham Stoop, home of Harlequins F.C. Innovative pitch technology will transform the iconic rugby venue into a world-class hockey arena, creating a dramatic stadium setting for the culmination of the biggest EuroHockey Championships ever staged.
In another major milestone for the sport in England, the men’s, women’s and Hockey ID Championships will all culminate on the same stage, with every final played at The Twickenham Stoop – a powerful statement of equality and inclusion at the heart of hockey.
