Super 6s Finals Day Set for Derby This Sunday

The England Hockey Super 6s season reaches its thrilling conclusion this Sunday 1 February, as Finals Day takes over Derby Arena. Eight of the country’s top teams will go head-to-head in a high-octane battle to be crowned national champions.

Reigning champions Old Georgians (Open/Men) and East Grinstead (Women) both return to defend their titles—but can anyone stop them?

In the women’s competition, Midland’s representatives Sutton Coldfield topped the standings and will face Holcombe in the first semi-final. East Grinstead then take on Surbiton in the second semi-final of the day. All eyes will be on East Grinstead’s Biba Mills, who currently leads the goal-scoring charts with an impressive 25 goals from the qualifying weekends. How many more can she add on Finals Day?

The Open/Men’s category promises just as much drama. Old Georgians, who also finished top of the standings, begin their title defence against Oxted, while Surbiton face Wimbledon in the other semi-final. Wimbledon’s Ed Horler leads the men’s goal-scoring table with 18 goals and will be looking to fire his side into the final.
