Talent Academy – Applications Open to Host for 2026-28

England Hockey are delighted to share more information about the application process and timeline for new organisations aspiring to host an England Hockey recognised Talent Academy from September 2026 in the Northwest geographical area.

There has been a huge amount of progress and learning since Talent Academies were introduced in 2022 and individually and collectively the Talent Academy programmes have grown and have developed.

Talent Academies began delivery with seventeen club hosted and four England Hockey led programmes. Over time this network has grown to a total of twenty-four with three of the original England Hockey led Academies now run by local clubs.

This leaves only one England Hockey led Academy that we are now looking for a local host to tender and take over the running from the start of the 2026 or 2027 season.

England Hockey are looking to make a four-year award and would welcome enquires from any interested clubs within the Northwest geographical area.

The closing date for organisations to apply to host a Talent Academy is:

Sunday 8^th February 2026.
