Didsbury Northern HC: Ladies 1st Team Coach

Didsbury Northern Hockey Club is a vibrant and inclusive club, committed to developing players of all ages and skill levels.

Our Ladies 1st XI are in the National League North Conference Division and are looking to maintain their status in the NL after a significant rebuild this season. The Ladies have had many consecutive seasons in the NL and have ambitions to challenge for promotion to Division 1.

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport, a strong understanding of coaching at this level if not higher, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate players. We are looking for someone who can be adaptable and will get the best out of the talent we have at Didsbury.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise, and conduct an effective training program.
• Attend all 1st XI matches.
• Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to players to enhance their skills and performance.
• Use of video analytics to develop players and game tactics.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Monitor and evaluate player progress and development.
• Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a cohesive club coaching approach. 

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience at a similar level.
• Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., Level 2 or equivalent, safeguarding, first aid, etc).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with players of all ages and varying abilities.
• Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
   

Rate of pay:

• Negotiable depending on experience.
