Event Stakeholder Board – Player Representative
EuroChamps 2027 Meetings will usually take place at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, LVHTC, Harlequins or virtually.

The Event Stakeholder Board (ESB) is an advisory group set up to plan, organise, commercialise and successfully stage EuroChamps 2027. This group is charged with ensuring that the strategic objectives for the event are achieved and governance obligations are met.
Meeting at approximately bimonthly intervals, with additional email communication as required, the group will consider operational delivery plans, social impact / legacy, commercial & marketing opportunities, budget management and international relations.
The event is funded by UK Sport and underwritten by England Hockey.
Responsibilities of the ESB include, but are not limited to:
- Setting and delivering against the strategic objectives for the event.
- Ensuring conditions of funding agreements are met.
- Ensuring the event operates within the agreed budget, together with consideration and approval of any changes to the event budget.
- Providing assurance and risk management on the delivery plans for the event.
How you will contribute:
The Player Representative will:
- Provide an athlete perspective on event planning and delivery.
- Support strategic direction and event legacy objectives.
- Advise on athlete experience and international best practice.
- Act as an ambassador and spokesperson for the event and wider sport.
- Support stakeholder, partner, and player engagement.
- Contribute to board discussions, governance, and decision-making.
- Promote athlete welfare, inclusion, and sporting integrity.
