Women's 1st Team Head Coach - Fylde HC (Conference North, National League)

Location - Fylde HC, Mill Farm, Lancashire

Fylde HC is seeking an experience, driven and visionary Head Coach to lead our Women's 1st Team for the 2025/26 season and beyond. Competing in the England Hockey Conference North National League, the squad is looking to build on from their second place finish last season and achieve promotion.

Fylde HC is based at the state-of-the-art Mill Farm Sports Village, boasting top-class playing and training facilities. We're a progressive, inclusive club with a thriving membership and a strong pipeline of junior and development players. Our Women's 1st Team is the flagship of our women's section, supported by a committed coaching and support team.

The Role

We are looking for a high-performance leader with a proven track record of coaching at a competitive level, ideally within the national league structure or equivalent. The successful candidate will bring strategic thinking, technical and tactical expertise, and the passion to create a winning culture. You will inspire, challenge and develop players to reach their full potential and help Fylde HC acheive it's ambition of promotion and long term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver all training sessions (pre-season and in-season).
  • Provide tactical leadership and game-day coaching for all league and cup matches.
  • Create a high-performance training environment with individual development plans.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, assistant coaches, and the wider club.
  • Support players recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Align with the club's vision, values, and long term development plans.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience coaching at National League level or equivalent.
  • High-level hockey knowledge (coaching qualifications desireable).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Commitment to building a culture or performance and accountability.
  • A coach who sess potential, sets standards, and builds belief.
