Ready to Lead, Compete & Build Something Bigger?
Ipswich & East Suffolk Hockey Club (IES) are on the hunt for a driven, ambitious Performance Coach to take our Ladies 1s & 2s to the next level.
This isn’t just about running sessions — it’s about building a high-performance culture for our players, shaping a clear pathway for development, and making a real impact across a thriving and growing club.
Who are IES?
Based at the fantastic Ipswich School Sports Centre in Rushmere, Ipswich, IES is a thriving junior and senior club with more than 300 members. We’re proud of our commitment to making hockey accessible and appealing to people of all ages — keeping membership costs low and welcoming players with no previous experience.
Our club has a distinctive identity, with a large proportion of our players coming from state-school backgrounds, something still relatively rare within the sport.
IES is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation. We’re focused on expanding our reach, strengthening our community presence, and driving our teams towards higher performance standards — all while ensuring opportunities exist for every type of player.
We currently run five men’s teams, four women’s teams, and a wide range of junior squads.

- Leading and delivering high-quality weekly sessions
- Driving performance across Ladies 1s & 2s
- Coaching our Ladies 1s on Saturdays during the season
- Using our VEO video analysis to sharpen performance and develop players tactical awareness
- Aligning coaching across squads for consistency and progression, working closely with our Development Coach to create a strong pathway from Ladies 3s & 4s
- Supporting the wider club (including occasional junior coach development)
