Women's 3rd Team Coach
Imperial College School of Medicine Ladies Hockey Club BarnesWe are a university hockey team based in Barnes, West London.
This role involves coaching our 3XI team, aiming to help beginners at hockey to learn basic skills, whilst also coaching those who have not played in a long time, to help them regain their confidence. We are looking for a highly motivated coach interested in a developmental team, who can ensure a supportive and fun hockey environment.
Our 1XI and 2XI play in Tier 1 and Tier 3 respectively, and we have a separate coach for these teams.
Responsibilities:
- plan and run engaging weekly training sessions to develop and strengthen the team, inlcuding members new to hockey. (8 sessions in Term 1 and 10 sessions in Term 2 per season)
- Enthusiasm for and experience developing players and improving performance at different skill levels
- Good knowledge of the game, especially for beginner hockey
- Work with both captains to maximise the development of players within the team
- First aid training and DBS
Our main priority is to find an individual who will help push our players to their highest potential. We would like a coach who can fully embrace the culture of our club and inspire and motivate our players.
The role would be on Monday evenings in Barnes. We would love if the coach could attend some Wednesday afternoon games but this would be completely optional!
