England Hockey is seeking an Independent Non-Executive Director (Finance) to join its Board and play a key role in supporting the organisation’s long-term financial sustainability, governance and strategic growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a sport that engages thousands of participants across England, from grassroots hockey to Olympic success. As a Board member, you will provide strategic financial oversight, support effective governance and help drive opportunities for income diversification and sustainable growth.
We are looking for someone with:
- A recognised financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or significant senior-level financial leadership experience.
- Strong experience in financial governance, audit, risk management and strategic financial planning.
- Board, committee or senior leadership experience within a complex organisation.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to support sustainable income growth.
- A commitment to inclusive leadership and a passion for sport.
Role Details
- Term: 3 years
- Time Commitment: Approximately 15 days per year
- Location: A mix of remote meetings and attendance at England Hockey's Head Office, Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre
- Remuneration: Voluntary role with reasonable expenses reimbursed
