Hockey Professional – 2IC (Second in Charge)

Full-Time | Up to £25,000 per annum | Potential for accommodation to be available.


We are seeking an ambitious and driven Hockey Professional to join our programme as 2IC (Second in Charge).

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within a thriving hockey environment, working closely with the Director of Hockey to deliver a high-quality performance and participation programme. The successful candidate will help shape standards, support player development, and contribute to the continued growth and ambition of the programme.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategic and day-to-day delivery of the hockey programme
  • Lead and assist training sessions and match days across multiple teams
    Drive individual player development and standards
  • Contribute to planning, analysis, and performance review processes
  • Assist with fixtures, events, tours, and wider programme initiatives

 

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold (or be working towards) an appropriate coaching qualifications.
  • Have experience working within a competitive hockey environment ideally a school.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Show energy, initiative, and a commitment to continuous development.

Salary up to £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience). Accommodation may be available for the right candidate.

This role would suit an aspiring coach looking to take the next step in their development within an ambitious and supportive programme.

Additional Opportunity:

There will be the opportunity to be involved with a local National League hockey club, playing or coaching, offering exposure to a senior performance environment and further coaching and development experience.
