Short Bio:

Oppositions may have asked 'do you guys do anything other than aerials?' and described crash balls from our own 23 as 'rudimentary'. But we're proud of being transitional hockey enthusiasts; direct hockey allows us to align ourselves well with our international counterparts and give you an easy development pathway.

We have a great squad and are just looking to add a couple of extra strong players over the winter break, ready to burst back into the second half of the season. 

We have a diverse team, so whether you've played in the English system, the Reserve Overgangsklasse in NL, the Scottish U21 side, the Aussie Hockey One or Kiwi Premier Leagues, you'd be welcomed and feel at home here. 

What we can offer you:

  1. A beautifully yellow jersey for you to make your own.
  2. A chance to make yourself look good (not just with the jersey) with our selfless play setting you up with great goal-scoring opportunities.
  3. 5 guaranteed Kennington Park games - the most central turf in London! 3 minutes from Oval tube.
  4. Away games at proper clubs in the South West London league, providing good turfs and better teas.

 

We'll get along if:

  1. You're passionate about their hobbies and thrive in team environments.
  2. You're confident and not afraid to make the first move.
  3. You're available on Monday or Tuesday nights for trainings in Battersea Park and Saturday daytimes for matches.

 

Green flags we look out for:

  1. Scoring potential.
  2. If you're happy making decisions and controlling the midfield.
  3. If you previously played at a good level (be it club, county, pathways, uni, school, even if years ago) and are keen to reignite your skills and get back into it in London.

 

Red flags we're conscious of:

  1. Anyone lying about their height; you don't have to be 6 foot to join our team.
  2. Fish in profile pictures.
