Oxford Hawks is seeking a dynamic, motivated and experienced Men’s 2s Performance Coach to join the club for the 2026/27 season and beyond. The Men's 2s currently compete in South Central Premier Division 2.

With an ambitious club development vision, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of Oxford Hawks. The club benefits from excellent facilities, including an onsite clubhouse and two floodlit artificial grass pitches.

Goals & Objectives:

The primary objective of the role is to foster a collaborative performance environment across the Men’s 2s squad, working closely with the Men’s 1s Performance Coach to establish shared performance and process goals. The long-term outcome is to sustainably elevate the Men's 2s to a higher league while supporting the development of players within the performance section.

The club is committed to providing a supportive coaching environment, including opportunities for professional development aligned with each coach’s interests and strengths.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Men’s 1s Performance Coach and Performance Director to lead the club’s performance section. 
  • Lead the Men's 2s squad by setting a clear vision and ambitious, achievable goals.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance team culture that challenges and supports players to excel.  
  • Work with the team captain to define expectations and behaviours that maximise team potential.
  • Plan and deliver engaging training sessions twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-9 pm).
  • Attend Men’s 2s fixtures on Saturdays to provide tactical leadership and match-day coaching.
  • Lead the collection, review and analysis of match footage, preparing materials to support player and team development. (All filming infrastructure is provided by the club.)
  • Oversee squad fitness in alignment with the performance section’s physical preparation programme.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment where all players feel valued and able to perform at their best.
  • Support the development of individual players and help attract new talent in line with the club’s values: Our Community, Our Home, Our Future.

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven coaching experience with the ambition and capability to lead a performance squad.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Men’s section coaches to identify and develop players with growth potential.
  • Motivated, positive and proactive, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a high-performance team culture.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret team and individual performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build positive relationships with coaches, captains and players.
  • Experience in match-day footage collection and video analysis software (training and support available).
  • Commitment to supporting the club's long-term goals and values.
