Men's First Team Head Coach

REWHC are seeking applications for the position of:

Men’s 1 st Team Head Coach ahead of the 2025 / 26 season.

We are an ambitious club with a large membership base, part of the second cohort of clubs. Recently awarded England Hockey Talent Centre accreditation, and a desire to gain promotion to the National League. The club currently run 8 Men’s teams, 5 Ladies teams and have thriving youth/junior section.

This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring or experienced Head Coaches who want to lead one of the top clubs in the Midlands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coach Men’s 1st team and create performance environment within the club.
• Design and implement a programme for Men’s elite section to include 1st Team, 2nd Team and emerging junior players. • Collaborate closely with Men’s 2nd team coach around training and selection.
• Two training sessions per week with league matches at weekends.
• Work closely with REWHC committee on specific initiatives which support the club’s aspirations.
• Take responsibility for pre-season training to include player recruitment, fixture schedules and fitness programmes.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Good communicator and willing to engage with all sections of the club
• Ability to create feedback culture.
• Proactive planning and organisational skills.
• Minimum Level 2 or equivalentEngland Hockey coaching qualification.
• Successful experience or track record of coaching within a first team environment.

REMUNERATION

• Salary subject to experience and qualifications.
